On the night of January 2, 2024, the bodies of 27-year-old kickboxing world champion Alexander Malafeev and his friends 26-year-old kickboxing trainer Artem Ivanov and 27-year-old Ruslan Shakhmardanova were discovered in one of the private houses in the suburbs of Tver, Russia.
The necessary investigations were ordered to determine the cause of death. All circumstances surrounding the incident are being clarified.
Alexander Malafeev was WKF World Kickboxing Champion 2019. Bronze medalist of the 2021 World Championship, champion of the SCO Open Championship 2023.
For many compatriots, Alexander Malafeev was a role model in martial arts.
