From the beginning in WKF we split very clearly amateur and pro business, in ring sport as well as in PPF and MMA.
World wide valid rankings is the simply proof!
Mr. Carlos SUAREZ from Argentina is many Years expert in our sport and our very active World president for the huge WKF AMATEUR division.
Vice-president for the amateur division is Mr. Danil KARPENKO from WKF RUSSIA.This is to follow many requests and wishes of our clients , managers and thousands of our fighters from all over the World.
On the next World Championships in Cartagena 18th to 24th October 2026 we have all fighting divisions, for male and females.
After the great success in Alicante 2024 in WKF again with AMATEUR BOXING, for male and females!
Today we are very successfully not only in pro sport but of course in amateur business too.
With great pleasure we want your poster of WKF sanctioned tournaments, with our logo on the poster. We would like to help with on-line advertising free of charge, of course. Short reports after would be great.
We just want to remind every WKF country president World wide to send fighter profiles of your amateurs or just non-professional male/female fighters in ring sport. We have same system like in other pro sport in WKF. We offer the chance to fight in all 6 ring sport divisions for our great demand WKF Champion belts.

Our WKF PRO-AM titles has a great value because of our World wide network with more than 150 member countries you have the chance to fight not only at home. No fighter will lose his/her amateur status , he/she can fight still on any tournament, any World Championship World wide. You can be sure just to face another amateur fighter with perhaps 15 to 20 fights and not real pro with more than 100 fights.
The rules and regulations for PRO-AM are easy to understand and waiting for your download. All you have to do is just send your fighter profile and jpg photos like always and we post your team online in the PRO AM World ranking. Because: only male/female fighters in our PRO AM World ranking are qualified to fight for our WKF titles.

WKF Wold referee seminar 2026 in Colombia
WKF COLOMBIA president Mr. Luis MEDIOMUNDO is the host of the next WKF World referee seminar on October 17./18. 2026.
Venue is the amazing 5 star Hotel Almirante in Cartagena, Colombia.
This is the perfect weekend, just before the World Championships 2026 in Cartagena, Colombia.
For the second time our World referee seminar takes place in Latin America.
We got already many requests from our male / female referees and officials from 6 continents and we hope everybody who would need Visa start in time at least 8 weeks before with Visa procedure.

All International WKF referees who not has attended the seminars in Triest 2023 or Alicante 2024 or Moldova 2025 must extend their license in Cartagena. The extended license is valid for three Years again. Many photos from all WKF seminars since 2011 are here in the gallery!

So many new male and female fighters in our PRO-AM World ranking as well as in our PPF – Pro Point Fighting World rankings.
Based on the results of the last European and World Championships.
Just in the last two weeks more than 50 new fighters are listed in the WKF World rankings.
Many photos of our Champions are still missed, please check all rankings and send your photo by mail ASAP.
Everybody likes the idea to give the best amateur fighters a chance to fight for a real valuable title, and still to be amateur.
This is to avoid any miss match, just to have an opponent in same amateur level.
How to get listed ?
Very simple, just fill in the online fighter profile on right hand, add a jpg of your male / female fighter and send to our head office. Can´t be much easier !!!

At the last WKF World federation congress 2024 in Alicante, Spain, the last CIS Supervisor Roman LOGISCH from WKF GERMANY was unanimously elected by the 60 presidents present.
Mr. Logisch is WKF Secretary General and member in World board.
Dr. Ivan Vasilievich DERKACHENKO from Minsk, Belarus, was also unanimously elected as his successor by the Board.
WKF amateur division World Presidents Carlos SUAREZ / ARG, Boxing division World president Daniel HIERLAU / HUN and Muay Thai World director Annis DOMETIOU / GRE were pleased to confirm the appointment and look forward to a good cooperation.
Mr. Derkachenko is well-known and high respected as a manager and expert in our sport.
He will also be serving as a supervisor at the next upcoming WKF Championships in East and West and will therefore be the link between Eastern and Western Europe.

Overview of our WKF forms or Kata disciplines
Dear friends in traditional martial arts!
WKF is also a leader in the traditional world of Kata and other Forms !
As everybody know, our next World Championship is coming up in October 18th to 24th 2026 in Cartagena in Colombia.
WKF have 6 categories for forms / Kata / poomse / Hyong / Taolu / musical creative etc.
To avoid any mistake or misunderstandings on the tatami or mat, we would like to remind you kindly one more time to read carefully the online WKF rule book for forms.
To see what is a WKF recognized traditional form, have a look here for Japanese and Korean forms.
What are the dress codes? When does the timer start e.g. for traditional forms with and without weapons ? Any traditional form / Kata / Taolu etc. can be customized, but it still has to be recognizable. From our official WKF recognized list and a traditional Japanese or Korean form or Kata!
In creative and freestyle: also compiled (with parts of existing forms) form using traditional techniques is permitted. What is the time limit in creative forms and soft style forms?
Traditional Forms must be using traditional moves only. A traditional Form / Kata / Pommse / Hyong / Taolu etc. must resemble a traditional work, an adaptation will be acceptable if added moves are of a traditional nature.
Any so called “allstyle” form is not a traditional one!
For all creative forms are just the division 4 and 5 creative forms with music, with and without weapon.

Next international event in Romania
The WKF ROMANIA, headed by Grandmaster and WKF EUROPE Vice president Florin MINA, has confirmed Bucharest as the host of the 2028 WKF Kickboxing World Championships.
Beforehand, the sole official Romanian federation will hold the final qualifying event for the upcoming WKF World Championships, taking place from October 19-24 in Cartagena, Colombia, on July 18, 2026.
